Are they soft and bouncy, or hard?
They're soft, squeezable makeup sponges. Dampen one first and it swells a little and turns bouncier, which is what gives the smoothest pressed-in finish. The triangle puffs are soft and used dry for powder.

Should I use them wet or dry?
Damp sponges give the smoothest, most natural finish with liquid foundation. Use the triangle puffs dry for powder.

How often should I wash them?
Ideally after each use. Rinse with mild soap and warm water until the water runs clear, then air dry. With twelve pieces, there's always a dry one ready.
