Old foundation and powder build up in the bristles. Then brushes feel stiff, streak and pick up less colour. A quick spin with water and a drop of your usual brush soap loosens that build-up, so your base blends smoothly again.

Fill the jar to the MAX line with warm water and a little brush cleanser or gentle soap. Hold a brush in the swirl, or slot a few head-down into the holder lid. Press the button and the base spins the water around the bristles for you.

Small enough for the vanity, easy to take away

The jar is about 9 cm wide and 16 cm tall, and it charges by USB, so there's no cord trailing to the sink. Use it on a Sunday reset, after a big night's makeup or in a hotel bathroom.

How it works

1. Fill to MAX. Add warm water and a drop of brush cleanser or gentle soap up to the MAX line.
2. Add your brushes. Hold one brush in the water, or slot several head-down into the holder lid.
3. Press and rinse. Press the button, let it swirl, then rinse with clean water and leave to dry.

Questions

Will it really get my brushes clean?
It does the scrubbing for you: the spin pushes warm, soapy water through the bristles again and again. Brushes with weeks of dried-on foundation may need a second round. Then rinse them in clean water until it runs clear.

Will it fit my brushes?
It's made for regular makeup brushes, from small eye brushes to fluffy powder brushes. Very large kabuki brushes may be too wide for the holder holes, so hold those by hand in the swirl.

Do I need a special cleanser?
No special formula is needed. A few drops of your usual brush cleanser or a gentle soap in warm water works. No cleanser comes in the box.

Does it dry the brushes too?
No, it's a washer, not a dryer. After rinsing, squeeze the bristles gently in a towel and lay the brushes flat or bristles down to dry, the same as after washing by hand.

How do I charge it?
It charges by the USB cable in the box. Charge it only when the base is dry, and keep the port away from water.

What's the difference between smoke and clear?
Only the look of the jar. The smoke version has a dark tinted jar; the clear one lets you watch the swirl. Both work the same way.
