Curls look their best when strands stay together in clumps. A dense brush splits those clumps up, and you're left with a fluffy halo instead of ringlets. This brush has open rows of soft bristles, so curls slide through in groups and spring back with more definition.

On wet hair with your curl cream or gel, brush down a section. As you reach the ends, give the brush a little twist and let go. The section springs up into a defined curl. Work round your head, leave it alone, then air-dry or diffuse. That's wash day.

Questions

Will it work on my curl type?
Yes, from waves to tight curls. On waves, brush through with a light styler and scrunch afterwards. On tighter curls and coils, use smaller sections and a little more product. The open bristle rows keep each section grouped.

Will it pull or snag?
It glides rather than tugs: the nylon bristles are soft, with round tips. On knotty hair, start at the ends and work your way up.

Should I use it on wet or dry hair?
Both. For definition, use it on wet hair with your curl cream or gel. On dry hair, use it gently to tidy up and detangle.

Do I need curl cream or gel?
For the most definition, yes. Use the curl cream or gel you already have: brush it through soaking-wet hair, twist and let go. Without product, it still detangles and tidies, but the curls won't look as defined.

How do I clean it?
Pull out loose hair, then rinse it under warm water. Let it air-dry with the bristles facing down.
